ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္အေၾကာင္း႐ိုက္ကူးထားတဲ့ THE LADY ႐ုပ္ရွင္ဇတ္ကား

Written over a period of three years by Rebecca Frayn. Interviews with key figures in Aung San Suu Kyi‘s entourage enabled her to reconstruct for the first time the true story of Burma’s national heroine.

Storyline

THE LADY is an epic love story about how an extraordinary couple and family sacrifice their happiness at great human cost for a higher cause. This is the story of Aung San Suu Kyi and her husband, Michael Aris. Despite distance, long separations, and a dangerously hostile regime, their love endures until the very end. A story of devotion and human understanding set against a background of political turmoil which continues today. Michelle Yeoh portrays Aung San Suu Kyi, a Nobel Peace Prize winner and pro-democracy icon. Suu Kyi led the opposition against the Burmese military junta that arrested her in 1989, and spent 15 years of the last 21 years under house arrest. THE LADY also is the story of the peaceful quest of the woman who is at the core of Burma’s democracy movement.
